Very disappointing all in all
Similar to many on here - I am really disappointed with MdM. Delivery took forever although items showed in stock. However trying to get through to them for an update was impossible as there appeared to be no communication channels open - phones were not answered and I hung on for an age - and the email for a while was switched off - and telling you to call. I eventually got a response from the Company oddly - the day after I launched a dispute via Paypal. Items did arrive several weeks after order - it was for just two small occasional tables each flat pack - but which then arrived on separate days with the same courier! The first one I opened was awful - just a cheap wooden tray with folding gold coloured legs. It had black screws on a gold frame and there were no end caps on the feet. It did not fit together well and you had to almost bend the metal to get the screwholes to line up. My other half laughed and said I had clearly been ripped off at £77 each! The second one arrived, still not much to it but was much better - with matching screws, proper end caps for the feet and went together in seconds - so I decided I may keep one and exchange the other for a replacement - I took a photo to show the signifricant difference and said I would like an exchange. By that point the price had gone up by 15% ! (now £88 I believe). MdM agreed therefore to provide a replacement at no extra cost to me and said that I would need to re-order once they had processed the refund of the return and they would send a voucher for the difference so I was not out of pocket. (Some weird story about having it in stock but not being able to send a replacement - had to be a new order etc - who knows!?) Anyway I agreed to do that but drew the line when they then wanted to add a delivery charge on top of the replacement. I had spent over the £150 for free delivery on the two tables but now it was 2 orders - albeit a replacement - the delivery fee was due. My frustration mounting I have told them today not to bother as the whole process has been long and painful. Once you do get a contact the service improves but it is easily the worst purchase experience for me for some considerable time. They are just not as efficient as they need to be nor as customer focused as they say.
I will make do with just one table as I have had enough ! Their delivery company - Panther were actually fine and helpful - so they can have one of the stars!

I decided change kitchen but without all mess... of pulling floor up.. replacing worktops... outcome so. pleased with.. these paints really do work.. excellent... cheaper no mess... colour you want choose... also change again in the future....

Horrible quality; horrible experience
Bought a small writing desk for our vacation home on an island in northern Germany. Because we were en route we arrived after the 10 day window from receipt to report a problem. When we opened the package we discovered it had been broken beyond repair in two places. We were offered a 40% gift certificate - NOT A REFUND - for a destroyed item that will go straight into the trash. The quality of the piece was so poor that there is no confidence in purchasing from here again. Utterly disgusted.

Fantastic parakeet only problem is it did take a while for it to arrive in England, my fault I didn’t realise it came from France, but overall the item is well packed and is beautiful, I would definitely buy from this company again

Terrible customer service
I bought a large full length mirror from Maison du Monde recently and waited 7 weeks for it to arrive, only for it to be delivered broken. I understand that a mirror must be difficult to transport but when I phoned to tell someone it was broken, they laughed at me and said that they'd never heard that happen before. They sent me an email asking for photo proof which I provided immediately and then had no response to. I sent a total of 5 emails over the coming days and tried to phone several times with no luck getting through. I finally got put through to someone several days later to which they said that they would thankfully refund me but I had to dispose of the mirror myself, so I now have to try and find a way to a local refuse centre to get rid of it, and I don't have a car so not sure what I'm meant to do now. Pretty unhelpful and bad customer service, so I won't be bothering to use them again.
Waste of time
Waste of time. The company are layer. Ordered item orderNo 203741631. The not delivered - estimate delivery 29.06.2022. Three time contacting the company and not different. Today asking to cancel the orders, but telling me not possibly. Still waiting, but not ideas for what. Don’t used the service…

Maison du Monde are great but your…
Maison du Monde are great but your Panther delivery service are truely terrible. I was offered a Saturday slot, only to be told my items were arriving on a Wednesday. I had to rearrange someone to be at the house. Now they have just delivered one item as the other item went to the wrong depot. They apparently will need another 48 hours to sort this and I will have to arrange someone to be there for a THIRD time. It’s been a complete farce. They are unhelpful and it will put me off ordering again.

Nice stuff, but waiting 3 months on delivery
When I made my first order - delivery went smoothly, I loved the product, so I decided to shop here again. I ordered 6 items. 2/6 items got delivered few weeks later. I wrote to customer service, asking where are remaining 4? No answer - automatic reply came "Thank you for placing an order with Maisons du Monde (excellent choice!)." Ok, odd? Few weeks after the partial delivery i messaged customer service again and asked where are remaining 4 items? They said 2 of them are no longer available, so i got refund for them. No info about last 2 items. Then again I replied on the "refund" email asking what will happen with last 2 items, will they be delivered, or also refunded it has been more then 2 months, and i don`t really need that stuff anymore. Again no reply from real person, just automatic reply "Thank you for placing an order with Maisons du Monde (excellent choice!)." 3 months later i`m still hanging there with 2 items in status "Being prepared" on website and no real answers on my questions. Worst customer service ever. Giving that 1 additional star, just because stuff that came are really nice. But they are not worth 3 month or who knows how long headache.
Smashed Unit
Ordered Ionesco unit and the top half had clearly been dropped. Item now out of stock and we are stuck with two massive boxes until collection can be sorted. Gutted!
Still a basket case
Update - To be fair to MdM, delivery has been now resolved satisfactorily and somewhat proactively.
The quality of the products were good and as expected. Thank you for a speedy resolution.

Not only is the after sales service very poor, they lie on trust pilot. No one from customer service contacted me and no one took any action. I had to call them again to initiate a replacement order for the order that, between themselves and the courier, had been lost.
Being told, 2 weeks after the initial order was made, that I'd have to wait another 6-12 working days is a pretty dreadful customer experience. No express delivery service. Just computer says 'no'.
Will not be buying from MdM again.
If you order a cupboard there's a good chance you will get a table!!
I ordered a turquoise blue 2 door sideboard cupboard months ago.I was advised it was out of stock, then got a delivery date which was cancelled then got another delivery date which actually happened.Item was well packed up and I put it in storage as the room was not ready for the lovey reveal; my mistake, as today I opened the box only to find a Humpa grey table, not a lovely turquoise sideboard with gold graphic print! And to add insult to injury absolutely NO WAY OF CONTACTING CUSTOMER SERVICES ANYWHERE.lots and lots of unhelpful algorithm questions that go round and round with no result.I just want to send this HUMPA table back, get a refund and start again which sounds easy to me.Come on Maison du Monde.. how has this happened and what are you going to do about it. If you are reading this bear in mind you may not get exactly what you order, through no fault of your own..I definitely did not order a table...Disappointing.

AVOID!
Ordered a table off the site, all delivered etc. etc. but when you pay over £500+ and get an even rickety'er version of something you would perhaps expect to find at The Range then of course I want to return it! Quality is indescribable (BEYOND POOR!!) and what's even worse, is that I requested a return and have heard nothing back from MdM! Tried contacting Panther Logistics too (their delivery 'experts') and yes, ZERO comms ...I see someone from MdM trawls this page to offer some form of 'assistance' to entities like myself but in asking for order numbers, I wonder if they ever resolve the problems? AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!
Guingette garden chairs
We purchased two folding Guingette garden chairs in grey for the balcony of our new house. We left them outside but they rusted very badly and we had to get rid of them. Product didn’t last so low star rating.

Awful customer service
I bought a baby changing dresser with the matching changing shelf to go on top.
Firstly these were ordered back in March and did not arrived till middle of June with an additional delay (they were meant to have been delivered at the beginning of May).
We have cracking in the paint all the way down on side of the dresser, plus with with the changing shelf on top, you can barely use the top drawer of the dresser…such bad design!
I sent Maison du Mondale photos of my problems the day the second item arrived after having had a conversation with customer services…15 days ago. I then chased up by telephone what was happening at day 8 and was told I would definitely be getting a call within the next couple of working days from a manager. I still haven’t heard anything. Also I am about to give birth (which I told customer services) and really can’t be dealing with this anymore. I’ve never known customer service like it.
My thoughts…although the products are photographed nicely and you think for the price you are getting a decent product and that you expect decent customer service to go with it…I’ll go to ikea next time…at least I’ll know what I’m getting myself into.
I’m going to have to chase the customer services AGAIN if I don’t hear from
them after this review, but I really resent it…should not have to be dealing with this at this point in my pregnancy.
